Cookie Policy

Last update: 30 July 2026

1. WHO WE ARE

www.alainmikli.com (hereinafter, the "Website") uses cookies and other technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the Website and to improve your browsing experience.

The purpose of this cookies policy (hereinafter, "Cookie Policy" or, simply, "Policy") is to familiarize you with these technologies and to inform you about the cookies that we

Luxottica Group S.p.A. with registered office at Piazzale Cadorna no. 3 – 20123 Milan, Italy (hereinafter, "we", or "us", or "our")

as Data Controller placed on the Website, how we use them and how you can control them.

This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy of the Website, which contains the necessary information on how we process your Personal Data, including that which may be collected by cookies where applicable. Please also refer to section 1.3 of such a policy for what concerns the definition of "Personal Data" and "Data Controller".

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a small text file, usually consisting of letters and numbers, which is transferred by us on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone or any mobile device) and stored therein for a determined period of time. For example, there are cookies uniquely identifying a device, distinguishing it from another.

Please note that other technologies similar to cookies (such as pixel tags, web beacons or, where present, social network plug-ins) may also be used to collect information about the device you are using. These technologies also fall into the general category of "cookies" under this Cookie Policy.

3. WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

We use cookies for different purposes.

Some cookies are absolutely necessary to allow the Website to function properly and provide you with a good browsing experience, such as moving in a simple way from one page of the Website to another and providing you with the services envisaged therein (e.g. moving between the pages of the Website and accessing its contents).

Other cookies are necessary to make browsing easier, or to make browsing as much in line as possible with your preferences and characteristics.

In addition, certain cookies are useful to us to get information that can be used for our analytics and statistical purposes, for example to know the number of users connected to the Website or, where applicable, to ensure a direct link to social networks.

4. WHAT INFORMATION DO COOKIES CONTAIN?

The information collected with cookies generally relates to your device, such as IP address, login details, operating system and platform used, type or terminal, screen resolution, type of internet browser, time zone setting, country of origin, information about visits to the Website including the URL, length of visit, page response times, download errors and information about page interaction (such as the number of clicks or browsing patterns).

Generally, a single information is not sufficient to identify each user personally, but it could do so if it is read in combination with other information collected via the Website or a third party.

We can classify cookies according to how long they are stored on the user's device, the party who installs and manages them, and, above all, the purposes for which they are installed.

4.1 Storage duration

Based on how long cookies are stored, we can distinguish between the two following categories:

• Session cookies, which are the cookies installed when the Website is opened and which are deleted when the browser is closed, or when the Website is closed, or when the session expires. The information is thus stored temporarily and allows, for example, navigation to be maintained.

• Permanent cookies, which are the cookies that remain stored on your device even after having closed the browser for a defined period of time which is predetermined by us. These cookies allow, for example, your preferences to be remembered, so that you do not have to enter them again when opening the Website.

4.2 Cookies source

Cookies can be also classified based on the source they come from. In this context, we distinguish between two categories of cookies:

• Proprietary (or "First-Party") cookies, which are cookies that are created by the Website you are visiting, and which are associated with its domain name.

• Third-Party cookies, which are cookies created by third-party suppliers and are associated with a domain name different from that of the Website. Where present, such cookies may be placed on the Website and would be governed by the privacy policies of the relevant third parties, which can be found on their respective websites.

4.3 Cookies purposes

Based on the purposes for which cookies are installed, they can be classified in the following categories:

• Strictly necessary (or "Technical") cookies. These cookies ensure the proper functioning of the Website and the use of the services existing on it. They make it possible, for example, to recognize the language of the country you are connecting from and to save the choices you made on the cookie banner, thus avoiding for you the need to make the choice again each time you access the Website. They also improve your browsing experience. These cookies are used exclusively to ensure the basic functionality of the Website and, therefore, your prior consent is not required for their installation. You may set your browser to block these cookies, but please note that in such a case, as a result, some or all parts of the Website will not work.

• Analytical cookies. Certain analytical cookies are installed and managed directly by us and are used to analyze how the Website is used, to count the accesses to the Website, the traffic sources, the pages viewed, so as to allow us to make changes and improvements on the Website. They may collect data in anonymous form for statistical purposes only. Other analytical cookies may be instead installed by third parties (such as Adobe or Google Analytics) in order to track your activity on the Website and so drawing information which is useful for us. To help you in making a more informed decision on whether or not to consent to the collection of such cookies, please visit http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.

Depending on the configuration of the Website and the services activated from time to time, the following further categories of cookies may also be present:

• Marketing and profiling cookies. Where used, these cookies may track your navigation in order to create personalized content, for example to show you products which may be of interest to you or similar to those you have already viewed. To the extent such cookies are present, refusal or withdrawal of consent will not interfere with your possibility of accessing or browsing the Website. Some of these cookies may be installed by third parties in order to track your activity on the Website and draw information useful to us. To help you make a more informed decision on whether or not to consent to the collection of such cookies, should they be present, please visit http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.

• Social Network Cookies. Where present, these cookies may allow you to use the various social network functions integrated, through plug-ins, into our Website, enabling a direct connection with the relevant social network server. Any such plug-ins would not be managed by us, but by the relevant third parties. These cookies are not necessary for browsing the Website. For more information on how these third parties process your data through such cookies, and to enable you to provide informed consent where applicable, we invite you to consult the privacy policies of the relevant social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Google), which are available on their respective websites.

For any additional details and information on the cookies installed on our Website, you can contact us at privacy@luxottica.com.

5. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES

Strictly necessary cookies enabling the basic functions of the Website are installed automatically when the Website is opened, without requiring your consent.

With regard to the other categories of cookies for which your consent is required, at the time of your first access to the Website a cookie banner will be shown to you containing the short information notice on cookies and a link to this Cookie Policy: through this cookie banner you can then decide to accept or refuse such cookies. You can also view and change your preferences about cookies at any time via your browser settings.

In any case, please be aware that, if you have already given your consent to the use of cookies, in order to delete the cookies collected before your consent is withdrawn you will need to remove them via your browser settings, following the instructions made available by your browser provider in its help or settings section.

6. WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE INFORMATION COLLECTED VIA COOKIES?

With reference to the cookies installed by us, only our personnel in charge, duly trained and instructed to carry out such tasks, may access the information collected through cookies.

Should any third-party cookies be present on the Website, the related information would be collected and used by us and/or by the external parties linked to us by a contractual relationship. For further information on the processing of Personal Data and on our collaborations with third parties, please consult our Privacy Policy available on the Website.

7. IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA TRANSFERRED ACROSS THE BORDER?

Your Personal Data collected through cookies may be processed, accessed or stored outside your country of residence.

As a result of the above, your Personal Data may be accessed from and/or transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws ensuring your Personal Data a level of protection equivalent to that existing within the European Economic Area.

In such cases, we ensure, at all times, that appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure that your Personal Data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. In this respect, where your Personal Data is processed by another entity belonging to the group we belong to (the EssilorLuxottica Group, as defined in the Privacy Policy; entity(ies) belonging to the EssilorLuxottica Group are hereinafter referred to as "EssilorLuxottica Entity(ies)"), the safeguards are based on the commitments taken on the basis of (i) a dedicated transfer agreement binding upon the EssilorLuxottica Entities involved in the processing, and (ii) a set of common rules applied throughout the entire EssilorLuxottica Group through the EssilorLuxottica Group Data Protection Policy, which sets out the rules governing the processing of Personal Data within the EssilorLuxottica Group in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Where your Personal Data is processed by EssilorLuxottica Entities or third parties located outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that specific contractual protections are implemented so that this requirement is addressed in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations as per Articles 44 et seq. of EU Regulation 2016/679 (the so-called General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter "GDPR").

8. YOUR RIGHTS

When the cookies placed on our Website collect your Personal Data, you have the right to access, rectify, object to, erase and restrict the use of such data. For more information on the content of the rights you have under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, please refer to our Privacy Policy available on the Website. You can also change your preferences on cookies or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie banner and/or your browser settings.

If you wish to exercise your rights as described above, or if you have any questions or comments about this Cookie Policy or any data processing carried out by us, you can contact us by sending an email to privacy@luxottica.com.

Furthermore, if you are not satisfied with the way we process your Personal Data and/or with our response to a request to exercise your rights, you can always lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

9. HOW CAN YOU KEEP TRACK OF CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY?

Please note that we may change the terms of this Policy from time to time. We suggest, therefore, checking this Cookie Policy on a regular basis and referring to the latest version of it (we will post the date it was last updated at the top of this Cookie Policy).
